Halo Attached To TLSO (CTLSO)
Purpose of the Device
- Controls the cervical, thoracic and lumbar spine in all three planes
- Rigidly fixates, and provides distraction force that reduces the load on the cervical spine while stabilizing the thoracic spine
Indications
- Combination of cervical fracture with thoracic and/or lumbar fracture or instability
Common Additions
- Lower limb attachments, if necessary
Special Considerations
- Sheepskin liner is usually installed due to length of time in brace without removal
- Synthetic liners are available for patients allergic to wool
