Foot Orthotic, Soft Accommodative

Purpose of the Device

  • Provides minimal biomechanical control but is well suited for patient who needs shock absorbency and pressure redistribution
  • Base of rigid foam or cork provides support to the medial and transverse arches
  • For diabetic patients, top cover of pink plastazote is used to interface with the sensitive plantar surface of the foot

  • Degenerative joint disease
  • Metatarsalgia
  • Insensate foot
  • Neuroma
  • Bunions
  • Plantar lesion
  • Charcot foot

  • Cushion heel
  • Soft Morton extensions
  • Metatarsal pads
  • Accommodative cut outs

Special Considerations

  • A variety of soft materials may be used to suit individual patient needs
  • Extra depth shoes may be needed to accommodate the thickness of the orthotic
