Purpose of the Device

• To immobilize the elbow to prevent a child from being able to get their hands to their head & chest

Indications

• Prevents pulling NG tubes, IV tubes Tracheotomy
• Highly recommended following cleft palate surgery
• Prevents putting objects into mouth, scratching bandages, injuries or skin
• During x-rays (X-Rayable)
• Prevents self inflicted injury (Retts)

Common Additions

• Most commonly used bilaterally
