Purpose of the Device

Provides minimal biomechanical control but is well suited for patient who needs shock absorbency and pressure redistribution
Base of rigid foam or cork provides support to the medial and transverse arches
For diabetic patients, top cover of pink plastazote is used to interface with the sensitive plantar surface of the foot

Accommodative cut outs

Special Considerations

A variety of soft materials may be used to suit individual patient needs
Extra depth shoes may be needed to accommodate the thickness of the orthotic
