Halo Attached To TLSO (CTLSO)

Purpose of the Device

Controls the cervical, thoracic and lumbar spine in all three planes
Rigidly fixates, and provides distraction force that reduces the load on the cervical spine while stabilizing the thoracic spine

Indications

Combination of cervical fracture with thoracic and/or lumbar fracture or instability

Common Additions

Lower limb attachments, if necessary

Special Considerations

Sheepskin liner is usually installed due to length of time in brace without removal
Synthetic liners are available for patients allergic to wool
