Purpose of the Device

Allows patient to begin immediate post-operative rehabilitation and early ambulation by offering added protection
Permits diligent wound care and controlled weight bearing
Helps build patient tolerance for permanent socket

Indications

Transtibial amputees

Common Additions

Variable circumference supra-patellar socket (VCSPS)
Adjustable post-operative protective prosthetic socket (APOPPS)

Special Considerations

Severe diabetics may not be viable candidates for post-op system
